Antonio Moreno Zuñiga in Toronto...
After a 2 month effort working with the Embassy of Canada in Mexico City and Immigration Canada, Antonio Moreno has made it to Toronto for the month of October. This young tenor, without much time in the "scene" is quickly being considered one of the next great voices that will soon be gracing the international stages. After appearing as Luigi with Atelier S in their production of Puccini's Il Tabarro at the Teatro de la República in 2008, it became very clear what will be the future of this young man. Upcoming opera engagements include singing Rodolfo in Atelier S' Mexico City production of Puccini's La Bohème.
Please come and see him in recital at the end of October in the Celebrating Voices recitals as he resurrects his role of Luigi. In the meantime, you can also see him in a more casual setting performing music from the Heart of Mexico "El Arte del Trovador"

Do not dispare as where a door closes a glorious window has opened! Please keep posted to the http://atelier-s.org as we prepare to announce a new company based in Mexico City a full collaboration amongst Atelier S, the Federal Government of Canada and the Federal Government of México. This venture will provide the young professional singer(Canadian/Mexican casting) the opportunity to debut roles in a professional situation performing in some of the most stunning opera houses and theatres in Latin America.
New artistic home of Atelier S

We are incredibly proud and fortunate to announce our new artistic home, the Teatro de la República. This 600 seat, traditional horse-shoe shaped, opera house from the early 1800’s is the perfect venue for the developing and seasoned lyric artist to explore and perform. A most important part of Mexican national history as this was the site of the signing of the Constitution after the Revolution of 1810, liberating Mexico from Spain and is considered one of the most important theatres in the country. It is also home to Querétaro’s Orchesta Filarmonica.
It will now be the performance venue for our continued “Art of Song” Recital Series and opera workshop productions.
Atelier S and Stuart Graham in México:
mandate and current projects
In 2002 Atelier S took root in Toronto, Canada as the private workshopping studio of baritone Stuart Graham, and under its auspices, several study/performance opportunities were formed, most notably the “Art of Song” series along with several opera workshop productions. All of this in aid of the artist transitioning from the student career to the lyric profession. In this format, giving his student artists the chance to exercise the stage several times in a season, his students advanced remarkably. This gave rapid rise to several as they were quickly taken on to prestigious festivals (in N. America and Europe), graduate level performance programs and as finalists and winners of major competitions, national and international.
Presence in Mexico
With the birth of Atelier S’ International Summer Vocal Academy in Santiago de Querétaro, México, many opportunities opened and have taken root, thus, the permanent move of Atelier S and Stuart Graham to México. Together with the Facultad de Bellas Artes of the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro as well as the Embassy of Canada in Mexico City, Atelier S is working towards the education and promotion of worthy Canadian talent in the very important Latin market as well as creating an equal cultural exchange experience for worthy Mexican artists to discover and perform in Canada.
