We at Atelier S are very pleased to announce our next evening with the Art of Song. It is with great pleasure we present one of Canada’s major up and coming lyric talents, mezzo-soprano Liliana Piazza. No stranger to the concert and opera stages of Toronto, she has enjoyed several thrilling successes and much support from a loyal audience. This will be her only appearance this year in Toronto. Liliana Piazza, formerly a student of Jean McPhail at the University of Toronto and the Royal Conservatory of Music and laureate of Jeunnes Ambassadeurs Lyriques, she is currently completing her first year of a Masters of Music programme at McGill University where she studies with Michael Meraw. Liliana had the opportunity to spend a last summer as a Young Artist at the Banff Centre of the Arts, and she spent the Fall of 2006 in Wales on a concert tour with the Burlington Male Welsh Choir. Her performance highlights include many roles with Toronto’s Opera in Concert and Toronto Operetta Theatre while singing Brigitte in Die tote Stadt, Suzy in La Rondine, Linette in L'amour de Trois Oranges, and Frasquita in El Gato Montes. Upcoming roles include Florence in Albert Herring, and Bradamante in Alcina with Opera McGill.
Please come out in support of this wonderful young talent! Do get your tickets early as space is limited (only 150 seats available).
We look forward to seeing you in our audience.
Yours in Music,
Stuart Graham
